Hello! My name is Joan.

I am the person behind Joanotable Bookkeeping. My entire career revolved around Accounting and Bookkeeping roles. Since I started out my professional journey 10+ years ago, I have been a banker, finance officer, a government employee and accountant for various industries. At one time I had a gap period in my career, and that was devoted to a more fulfilling career of motherhood. 

I started Joanotable Bookkeeping to fulfill my dream of having my own bookkeeping practice to serve entrepreneur-owned businesses. On the side, I am freelancing as a virtual assistant, always reinventing myself with new skills and knowledge in tune with the ever-changing work atmosphere. 

I am currently based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and been living here for 5 years now since we moved from the Philippines. I have a degree in Business Management from Xavier University in the Philippines and I am a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, working towards getting certifications for other cloud-based accounting software as well.
